Best suited to keepers with some experience, as this species benefits from stable conditions and a well-prepared enclosure.

Compsodes schwarzi make a great feeder for dart frogs or small predatory invertebrates such as young mantis and whipscorpions.

Adult females will attach ootheca to bark and other structure in the enclosure.

While feeding on fruits, veg and dry foods they will also appreciate leaf litter for a food source but also structure.
