Cicindela aurulenta

Captive-bred pair of adult Golden Tiger Beetles, Cicindela aurulenta, available.

I have been breeding these beetles for over a year now and have been successful producing enough to make them available to other enthusiasts.

A highly active and visually striking predatory beetle species, known for its metallic iridescent coloration and fast movement. Best suited to keepers with some experience, particularly those interested in more specialised species.

They are a great display species on a desk, as they are diurnal and actively hunt prey on the surface. Can be happily kept in groups and I have only observed cannibalisation when kept in large groups (20+).

Tiger beetles are interesting to watch interacting with each other and with their prey, which can be almost the same size as themselves!
